Hi my name is Babs and I am the owner of the Semantic Pragmatic Disorder Parents Support Page
and I am mum to a child with SPD.
I have a site about the disorder which you can view at http://www.spdsupport.org.uk
Although I am based in the UK and my site caters a little more for a UK audience, it provides
lots of information about pragmatics, information about current research into pragmatic language
development, gives practical down to earth information about SPD and plenty of ideas of how to
help with the language and behavioural aspects of the disorder.
It also includes SPD language and speech samples as well as writing examples and it provides
information for teachers looking to support children with semantic and pragmatic difficulties.
Although SPD is considered by some to be a pure language disorder, and by others as an
autistic spectrum disorder, my site includes plenty of information about research into the
nature of the disorder that parents may find helpful.
I hope you will pop in and take a look, I am sure you will find it helpful.
Many thanks and best wishes
Babs

Thanks for posting information about your site, Babs. This page is especially good: Therapy Ideas.
