The Speech Reading Connection Book Series 1

The Speech-Reading Connection Book Series has been designed to supplement the material in the Kaufman kits. Book Series 1 was designed to target the specific consonant sounds featured in the Kaufman Speech Praxis Kit 1 (p,b,m,t,d,n, and h). Like the Kaufman kit picture cards these delightful stories will capture the attention of your clients so you can reinforce the specific consonant sounds appropriate for them. These materials will enable you to help a child stabilize the pronunciation of specific consonants in structured speaking situations then facilitate the transition from sound pronunciation to intelligible spontaneous communication.

The design of these books makes all this possible as consonant sounds are included in the stories in a way that allows for repetition of a sound at frequency level appropriate for sound stabilization. In addition, the rhyming feature of the material will sustain attention facilitating phonological awareness and the letter/sound connection. Target letters are in bold print. Each book is in a 6" by 9" format, 16 or more pages, and constructed with durable material for daily use.
